Waterloo Regional Police say they have focused their search on three makes of red sports utility vehicles in the fatal hit and run of a 29-year-old Waterloo man.
Jordan Gillis was struck and killed by a vehicle on Hazel St. near Austin Dr. early on Saturday, October 20. Police believe it was either a Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot or Dodge Calibre.
Investigators believe the vehicle could have a damaged bumper and hood, police wrote in a media release.
"Auto body repair facilities and the public are encouraged to be on high alert for a vehicle matching this description."
The vehicle was last seen travelling southbound on Hazel St. toward Columbia St. Police ask anyone with information to call their traffic branch at 519-653-7700 ext 8793 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
