Pedestrian fighting for life after being hit by car in Waterloo
A 50-year-old woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car travelling westbound on Bearinger Road in Waterloo Thursday afternoon.
Police say a 27-year-old Waterloo woman was driving a Toyota when she lost control of her vehicle, went over the curb and hit the 50-year-old Waterloo woman who was on the sidewalk.
Speed and alcohol weren't factors in the accident, but police say the driver was fatigued.
The 27-year-old has been charged with careless driving.
