Man dead after truck enters Lake Huron at Kincardine Harbour

A man is dead after a pickup truck plunged into the icy waters of Lake Huron, off the north pier of Kincardine Harbour.

A man is dead after a pickup truck plunged into the icy waters of Lake Huron, off the north pier of Kincardine Harbour. 

The Ontario Provincial Police and local firefighters were called to scene on Saturday morning around 9:00 and found the truck in the water. 

The OPP's underwater search team was called in to help and emergency responders were able to pull the truck out of the water just after 4:00 p.m.

A male was found inside the truck and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

His identity will be revealed once next of kin is notified.

Police are continuing to investigate, along with the OPP's Forensic Identification Unit and the coroner's office.
