Waterloo Regional Police have accused a 21-year-old man of human trafficking.

Police say a 17-year-old girl was being exploited by the man while working as an escort from a Cambridge hotel.

On Saturday, the man was charged with human trafficking and living off the avails of prostitution of a person under the age of 18.

The man is in custody pending a bail hearing.
