Man charged in missing woman's presumed death
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a 25-year-old man in the presumed death of Kitchener woman Catherine Todd, who was last heard from March 18.
Todd, 48, was reported missing by an acquaintance three days later on March 21.
Police are still looking for evidence that will lead them to Todd's body.
They are also looking through a landfill at Erb Street West for a small loveseat missing from Todd's home.
Police confirmed that a pickup truck spotted leaving Todd's apartment at 50 Lorraine Avenue near River Road East in Kitchener has been found and investigators are waiting for forensic examination results.
Todd was often seen in the neighbourhood, walking her dog, a white Jack Russell terrier.
