Man arrested in hit and run death of Waterloo resident

An 18-year old Brampton man has been arrested in the hit and run death of 29 year-old Waterloo man Jordan Gillis.

An 18-year old Brampton man has been arrested in the hit and run death of 29 year-old Waterloo man Jordan Gillis.

The man will be formally charged with criminal negligence causing death and failing to remain at the scene. His name has not been released, as charges have not been laid yet.

Jordan Gillis was struck and killed by a vehicle on Hazel St. near Austin Dr. on the morning of October 20.

Police have also seized a vehicle in connection to the incident and will be examining it for evidence.
