A 23-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with an indecent act committed at the Wilfrid Laurier University campus in Waterloo on Tuesday.
A man was spotted committing an indecent act in a common area of the campus around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Then, two female university employees were followed by a man in a "suspicious and concerning manner" according to police.
Police say the man is affiliated with the university, but could not provide any more information due to privacy concerns.
The university said it could not provide more information as the incident is currently under police investigation.
A statement issued by the university reads in part, "The university will continue to assist the police with their ongoing investigation. The safety of Laurier’s students, faculty and staff remains our top priority."
The 23-year-old man has been charged with criminal harassment and committing an indecent act.
