Kitchener man killed in crash on Erb's Road

A 35-year-old Kitchener man is dead after a car struck a treet on Erb's Road near St. Agatha.

A 35-year-old Kitchener man is dead after his car struck a tree west of St. Agatha.  

Police say Arthur Campbell was travelling westbound on Erb's Road in a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier early Monday morning when the car left the roadway.

Emergency services received a call at about 4:15 a.m.

The fire department extracted Campbell, who was the sole occupant, from the vehicle.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

As a result of the crash, police had closed Erb's Road between Sandhills and Nafziger roads in Wilmot Township for almost four hours.
