Knife used in Kitchener hoverboard theft, police say

Police say a male suspect brandished a knife during the theft of a hoverboard Wednesday night in Kitchener.

Police are searching for a man after a hoverboard rider was threatened and robbed at knife-point Wednesday night in a Kitchener neighbourhood.

At about 9 p.m., officers were called to Rittenhouse Road in the west end of the city after a person with a hoverboard was approached. The male suspect was described as being black, six feet tall, average build and was wearing dark clothing.

Police said the victim was not physically injured.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
