King Street re-opened after Waterloo construction fire
A construction fire on King Street south of Columbia street has been extinguished.
King Street North between Columbia Street and University Avenue has been re-opened following a 2 hour closure this afternoon, according to John Percy, public education officer of the Waterloo Fire Rescue.
Police say the fire broke out at 316 King St. N. just after 2:30 p.m.
Sixteen firefighters were on the scene attending to a crane truck that caught fire on the construction, said Percy.
The cause of the blaze is not immediately known.
