Go Transit is adjusting its official schedule on the Kitchener train line to reflect actual train travel times starting September 3rd.

The changes affect the 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. trains arriving in Kitchener from Toronto, and will add five minutes to the travel time.

"We are adjusting our schedules so they reflect the actual travel times so that our riders know what time they’ll be getting back," said Mark Ostler, a spokesperson for the provincial transportation authority Metrolinx.

The changes are due to what Metrolinx calls "operational constraints."

GO Transit doesn't own the section of track between Kitchener and Toronto, which means that passenger trains must wait for freight, causing delays.
