Much of Southern Ontario, including Waterloo Region, Wellington County including Guelph and Erin and Oxford County remains under a wind chill warning as bitterly cold air sweeps across the province.

Gusting northwesterly winds bringing cold arctic air pushed wind chill values down to around -30 Thursday afternoon and the evening.

Wind chill values are expected to improve Friday, with forecast temperatures to reach a high of -15 C.

Environment Canada ended an earlier snow squall warning at 11 a.m., after "a wall of snow" caused whiteout conditions and extremely poor visibility Thursday morning.
