Elmira woman, 35, dies in Woolwich collision
40-year-old Kitchener man charged in connection with the fatal pedestrian collision
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old Elmira woman after she was struck and killed by a car on Sunday night in Woolwich Township.
Investigators said Monday that Miriam Bauman, 35, of Elmira, was walking on the shoulder of Arthur Street North, just south of Reid Woods Drive at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday night when she was struck by a 2002 Honda Accord.
Bauman died of her injuries despite efforts by emergency crews to save her life at the scene.
Scott Albert Richards, 40, of Kitchener faces a dangerous driving charge in connection with Bauman's death.
