Guelph Police say they've arrested a 28-year-old Ingersol woman after she was involved in a collision with a police car.

Police say on August 30 around 1:52 a.m., the woman attempted to turn from a private drive onto Gordon Street and hit the police cruiser as it was passing. An officer spoke with the driver and asked her to take a breathalyzer test.

The woman failed the test and was arrested. Combined damage to her vehicle and the police car were estimated at $15,000.

The woman has been charged with driving over 80 mg and fail to yield under the Highway Traffic Act and is expected to appear in court on September 9.
