The City of Kitchener hosted its second public input session Tuesday night on whether to invite a casino to the city.
At the previous session on April 23, response from delegations was largely against the idea.
Kitchener councillors will have to make a final decision on May 13.
Regional Chair Ken Seiling has also said he does not support a casino anywhere within the borders of Waterloo Region. Next week, he will be asking regional council to relay this message to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
However, the OLG can technically ignore the request, as it has approval from Woolwich Township.
Tuesday was also the last day for people in the City of Waterloo to weigh in on whether they want to see a casino in their city in an online survey.
