Waterloo Regional Police are probing an incident at a Kitchener Tim Hortons where a 60-year-old driver ran his car into an outlet of the well-known coffee and donut chain, causing an estimated $100,000 in damage.

Police say the incident happened on Wednesday at about 8:30 p.m. in the Fischer Hallman Road and University Avenue area of the city.

No one was hurt in the crash, despite what investigators described as significant structural damage to the building.

Police so far haven't laid any charges, but a spokesman says the investigation is ongoing.
