Cambridge poppy donations thief sought by police

Poppy donation boxes were stolen from two businesses at a plaza on Beverly Street at Dundas Street North in Cambridge in the week leading up to Remembrance Day.

Waterloo Regional Police are searching for a poppy donation box thief that struck two businesses in a Cambridge plaza.

Police say the donations, which support the Royal Canadian Legion, were taken sometime in the week leading up to Remembrance Day from the Beverly Street and Dundas Street North plaza.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police south division detectives at 519 650 8500 ext. 2299. Anonymous tips can be placed through Crime Stoppers by calling 1 800 222 TIPS (8477).
