Officials at the Waterloo Region District School Board have announced that Southwood Secondary School will be opened again for classes on Monday morning.

This comes after the school was evacuated on Sept. 24 after a fire broke out behind a partition wall in a second-floor boy's washroom. The building has since been closed off to allow for investigations by Waterloo Regional Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal's office.

The school says it will still close off a portion of the second floor for clean up and safety reasons.
