Buddy Guy headlines 2014 Kitchener Blues Festival

Buddy Guy, the legendary bluesman from Chicago, will headline 2014’s Bluesfest in Kitchener, kicking off the event on August 7 at the OLG Clock Tower Stage in Victoria Park.

Buddy Guy, the legendary bluesman from Chicago, will headline 2014’s Bluesfest in Kitchener, playing in Victoria Park on opening night, August 7.

Guy will be joined on opening night by his teenage protégé Quinn Sullivan and Juno Award winner Steve Strongman.

Nearly 40 acts are featured in the festival, which ends on August 10, including Percy Sledge, the Otis Taylor Band and BeauSoleil.

The lineup was announced at the Kitchener Blues Festival launch party on Friday.
