Body discovered after suspicious fire in Cambridge

Investigators from the Waterloo Regional Police and Ontario Fire Marshal's office have been called in after a dead body was found in a house fire in Cambridge.

Ontario Fire Marshal called in to investigate

Waterloo Regional Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal are undergoing a joint investigation following a suspicious fire in Cambridge.

Police say crews responded to an address on Elmwood Avenue shortly after 6:00 a.m. and discovered a body inside the home.

Staff Sergeant Shaena Morris says the body has been sent to Hamilton for a forensic post-mortem.
