WEEKEND | Gas prices rising, weather mixed and fun music

This weekend will start cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorm. Gas prices continue to rise in the region.

The weekend forecast predicts a cloudy start with Saturday having a 40 per cent chance of showers. Late morning has westerly winds of 20km/h, and there's a risk of thunderstorm in the afternoon. The high should hit 22 Celsius but will feel like 25 with the Humidex. UV index will be high at 6. 

The K-W Blues Festival wraps up with sunshine on Sunday and a high of 24. 

Fun things 

If the Blues Festival is not your jam, check out the Cambridge Ribfest at Riverside Park this weekend. The event features live entertainment, bouncy castles and Paw Patrol's Pikachu and Chase. Festivities continue throughout the weekend until Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

Gas prices

Fuel prices for a litre of regular gas continue to climb. Last Friday it was at an average of $107.6/L, rising to just over $109.4/L on Aug. 11. The prices are now similar to what it was like in May this year.
