The Waterloo Catholic District School Board will save $1-million annually in transportation costs by adjusting bell times. The changes take effect in the fall of 2014.

Trustees with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board voted to change bell times Monday night in a move that the board says will save $1-million in transportation costs.

The move comes after a similar decision by the Waterloo Region District School Board last week to change bell times.

Between the region's two school boards, changing bell times will save $2-million in costs to transport students to and from school.

The changes are set to take effect at the beginning of the 2014 school year.
