Open Streets Uptown Waterloo

King Street between Bridgeport Rd. and William Street, UpTown Waterloo 

Celebrate Father's Day by catching the first Open Streets festival of the summer on Sunday. King Street is closed to traffic for the afternoon, and families can take part in activities, get something to eat, and enjoy a car-free stroll.

Hip Hop Candy Fest

​11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday June 14

Central Park, 615 King St. E. Preston (Cambridge)

This day-long festival will showcase local hip hop artists in Central Park to benefit the Argus Residence for Young People. There's a song competition for teens, who will write and perform their own songs. The contest winner will get a $1000 Brixton Music professional recording session and $250 in cash.

Love You Forever and More Munsch

The To Be Determined Theatre Co. has taken elements from some of Robert Munsch's best-loved stories and turned them into a 40-minute play for children. The play features scenes from Love You Forever, The Paper Bag Princess and Mortimer and is best suited for kids between 2-9. 

Breslau Family Fun Day

Garage sale: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Family Fun Day: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.,  Saturday June 14

Breslau Community Centre, 100 Andover Drive, Breslau

There's a lot happening Breslau on Saturday. The Breslau Community Garage Sale starts at 8:00 a.m. and goes until noon, and the complete list of address are available on the group's Facebook page below. Then the Family Fun Day starts at 2:00 p.m. and includes a reptile show, a mad science demonstration, a photo booth, food trucks, silent auction and bouncy castles. Finally, wrap up the day with a movie under the stars once the sun has set.

Father's Day Ale Trail

12:00 - 5:30 p.m., Sunday, June 15

Tour starts at The Woolwich Arrow, 176 Woolwich Street, Guelph

This craft brew bus tour takes you to the Wellington Brewery, F&M Brewery and The Woolwich Arrow pub (food at the pub also included). You'll be able to sample some small-batch special edition beers along the way.
