Conestogo Lake Conservation Area Summer Star Party

8:00 - 10:00 p.m., Friday, August 29

CLCA, 6580 Wellington County Rd. 11, Wallenstein

The K-W branch of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will be bringing telescopes and binoculars, and offering star spotting tips to the public. You may still be able to spot a few stragglers from the Perseid meteor shower. 

Ghost Walk of Guleph

8:30 p.m., Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30

Guelph Train Station, Carden St. and Wyndham St., Guelph

Get in the mood for fall and the smell of wood smoke on the air with this creepy ghost walk that explores the history of downtown Guelph. A note that this walk is cash only. It's $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, students and children.

Summer Music Series at the Waterloo Region Museum

Wind up your summer with a relaxing afternoon of reggae at the Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village. Errol Blackwood (of Messenjah fame) will be taking to the stage this Sunday. While you're there, explore the heritage village and the exhibits on display. Don't forget to look for the napkin holder that might have been made from the Kaiser's bust!

Show and Shine Classic Car Mondays

6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 1

PartSource parking lot, 563 Highland Road W., Kitchener

Get your classic car fix with tons of other enthusiasts this holiday Monday. Bring your own vintage car, or check our the many classic and specialty cars on display. There will music from the 50s and 60s, and a chance to win prizes for the whole family. 

Paris Fall Fair

Monster trucks and holsteins, cotton candy and award-winning pie - the Paris Fall Fair has it all. Catch musician EastonCorbin on August 29, and headliners Thomson Square on August 31. There's a midway with rides and games, exotic animal shows and horse shows, talent competitions and a demolition derby, something for everyone in the family.
