Waterloo Regional Police say they've charged a 19-year-old driver after he lost control of his pickup truck during a race on Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Investigators say witnesses spotted two pickup trucks racing along Franklin Boulevard near Main Street in Cambridge shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

One of the drivers lost control of his truck during the race and collided head-on with a silver Kia.

Police say the driver of the Kia suffered only minor injuries.

The 19-year-old driver of the pickup truck is charged with dangerous driving and racing a motor vehicle.

Investigators say they're still looking for the second pickup involved, which is described as a silver, full-sized, crew cab pickup that had four people in it at the time of the incident.
