Two men suffered stab wounds early Sunday during an altercation in Hamilton's north end.

Two men suffered stab wounds early Sunday during an altercation in Hamilton's north end.

Around 4:20 a.m., police responded to call about a stabbing on Burlington Street East near John Street North.

"Two victims were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," said Andrew Thoms, an acting staff sergeant with the Hamilton Police Service.

Burlington Street East was closed on Sunday morning for an investigation At 11:20 a.m., Thoms said the street would be open within a half-hour.

Police have arrested two suspects, but are not releasing additional details.

"Our investigation is still ongoing," Thoms said.
