Hamilton police say they are trying to track down whoever is breaking into local car dealerships and stealing tires.
According to a news release sent out today, an unknown number of people have been breaking into these businesses through auto bay doors and stealing "large quantities of tires."
Police say the break ins are happening during the early morning hours.
Const. Jerome Stewart couldn't say how many businesses have been targeted.
"It is believed that large vehicles, possibly rental vans, were used to transport the stolen tires," police say.
