The Circus, a play by Radha S Menon., takes to the stage at The Lyric Theatre from March 1 to March 16.

The show is a co-production by The Hamilton Festival Theatre Company and Red Betty Theatre.

Directed by Tony Sciara, the play features Aparajit Bhattacharjee, Brian Morton, Emedio DiPietro, Lisa Pijuan-Nomura and Sabrina Armani.

The Circus tells the story of sports fans who meet randomly at a Tiger Cats game in Hamilton. Katie and Brenda take Katie’s long-lost father on a day out to his first football game, where they encounter a stranger who alters the course of all their lives by opening doors in closed minds.

The Circus runs March 1-3, 7-10 and 14-16. All shows start at 8 p.m.

There are also two special pay-what-you-can shows at 2 p.m. on March 3 and 10.
