The Central Ontario Boat Show and Sale runs from Feb. 15 to 18 at the Careport Centre, featuring an expanded three-acre exhibition floor.

The show includes dozens of the latest models of family pontoon boats, glass and tin fishing boats, and an array of big lake cruisers.

The event also showcases boating accessories and services in the Mariner's Marketplace.

The Kids Zone will have activities and prizes, including a colouring contest and a fishing pond stocked with trout for children 12 and under.

Leo Stakos and Ron James, hosts of the National Television series FISH TV, will be signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. Fishing simulators will also let visitors test their skills.

Visitors can also take part in seminars, ranging from making better use of electronic navigation instruments and charts, to learning power boat handling techniques, to improving fishing techniques, to learning tips about boat buying.

Time: Friday Feb. 15 noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday and Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets: $12 for adults, $9 for youth (13 to 17) and seniors (65+), 1children 3 and under are free. (Visit to save $3.00 off admission.) Parking is free.
