The Beatles played on top of the Apple building. U2 played on top of a Los Angeles liquor store when filming the video for "Where the Streets Have No Name."

Terra Lightfoot plays the roof of Jackson Square.

And she'll be up there all week with her guitar, strumming and picking her way through rootsy tunes from noon until 2 p.m.

"People can expect rogue, old country songs, and bad covers of CCR," Lightfoot said with a grin.

"They can also expect to hear sad love songs — originals of mine, of course. And maybe even some Jackson Browne."

Come check out Lightfoot on the roof of Jackson Square on Tuesday, or any other day this week.

CBC Hamilton's Paul Wilson's tells a great story about the plaza level of Jackson Square. Watch for that later Tuesday morning.

You can listen to Terra Lightfoot and other great Hamilton artists on the CBC Hamilton Playlist here.
