Buttermilk Falls is a terraced ribbon waterfall measuring 23 metres (75 feet) in height. It's located on a tributary of the Red Hill Creek. It experiences a full, impressive flow after a heavy rain or during the winter snow melt.

Buttermilk Falls is quite close to Albion Falls. It's a narrow ribbon waterfall that streams down into a deep, impressive gorge.

Given the size of this stony ravine, the original water flow must have been immense and powerful at one time. Those who visit this waterfall are also treated to a stunning view of Red Hill Valley.
