There are lots of great things on James Street North during Art Crawl. Here are five awesome stops to check out Friday night:

1) Live Bands & Photo Booth at CBC Hamilton

Three young Hamilton talents will be performing live at our office.

Of Gentlemen and Cowards and Gdansk both finalists in a contest to play on the Late Show with David Letterman! Come see them perform live along with the talented indie folk group Dawn and Marra.

… And come pretty! Hamilton portrait photographer Larry Strung will be here to snap your pictures in our photo booth.

2) Food Drive

Share what you can with your community. Volunteers will be collecting non-perishable foods at the northeast corner of James Street North and Cannon Street East from 7-10 p.m. under a blue canopy tent. All collected foods support the Welcome Inn Community Food Bank – it’s help they need even more in the summer.

Donations can include food, personal care items, diapers and pet food.

3) Rooftop Concerts

Check out local bands perform live on Dr. Disc’s rooftop, at 20 Wilson Street. The music store will also be open late offering sales, all as part of its "Raise the Roof" concert series:

Hachey the MouthPEACE, 7 p.m.

Sara London, 8 p.m.

Lee Reed, 9 p.m.

Canadian Winter, 10 p.m.

And DJ Shan - "Champion Sound" will be laying down the beats between live sets.

4) Gorilla Cheese

Canada’s first grilled cheese food truck will be serving-up cheese-oozing sandwiches, hot and fresh, outside of CBC Hamilton at 118 James Street North. This will be the first time the truck has pulled up and stopped directly in the heart of Art Crawl.

5) Steel, Streets, Skies, Shores, Systems & Structures

Local photographer Michael W. Hrysko has captured Hamilton through his lens, and what he has shot will give you a new perspective on the city you love. His work is on display at HIStory + HERitage, 165 James Street North.

With special thanks to Dave Kuruc and Mixed Media Hamilton for the comprehensive listings.
