Young Rival's record release

Hamilton indie band Young Rival is releasing their new record Stay Young at The Casbah Thursday night.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $14.50. You can pick them up at The Casbah or at Dr. Disc.

Arts Dundas Weekend

Arts Dundas Weekend gets off to an early start Thursday evening.

At the Dundas branch of the Hamilton Public Library, there's Eco-Art exhibition opening, where local high school and university students have transformed garbage into pieces of art.

They'll also be showing "Waste Land", a documentary that tells the story of garbage pickers in the dumps of Rio de Janeiro.

The exhibition opening runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Then over at the Carnegie Gallery, there's the official opening of the Arts Dundas Weekend and the Emerging Artist exhibition.

Scarlett's Music and Medicine Show

International singer-songwriter, composer/producer, educator and author Scarlett Deva Antaloczy is playing at the Molson Canadian Studio Thursday night.

The show runs the gamut from pop to jazz and world music.
