The stars of the CBC hit television show Republic of Doyle will be at CBC Hamilton on Friday Jan. 4, 2013 for a live chat with fans.

Allan Hawco and Krystin Pellerin, who play Jake Doyle and Leslie Bennett on the show, will drop by our offices at 118 James Street North between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. They'll participate in a live, online chat at cbc.ca/hamilton. Fans can log in to ask the actors questions.

The Republic of Doyle crew finished filming season 4 of the show on Dec. 13.

In the final episode of the third season, Jake Doyle saw his beloved Pontiac GTO blown up by bad guys and Des Courtney was shot in the stomach.

Hawco hasn't said much yet about what to expect from the new season, except that he promises we'll "know what happened to Des and the poor car or what the future of Jake's ride will be by the end of episode one."

Here's what we know for sure: the producers invited a number of guest stars to keep the show fresh for the upcoming season, including Canadian actors Paul Gross and Erin Karpluk, Angus Macfayden, who appeared in Braveheart, and Hollywood actor Luis Guzman.

You'll get your chance to pry a little more information from Hawco and Pellerin on the Jan. 4. Season 4 of Republic of Doyle premieres on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m./9:30 p.m. NT on CBC Television.
