Roads immediately surrounding the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 5 were closed on Friday morning for a police investigation into a tractor-trailer rollover.

Just after 11 a.m., a transport truck crashed on Highway 5 near Highway 52.  The truck contains a hazardouse substance (hazardous if it comes in contact with water) but there is no leak.

The driver sustained minor injuries, according to Const. Julia McCuaig, a spokesperson with the Ontario Provincial Police.

"As this time, as far as I know, that was the only vehicle involved," she said.

McCuaig said the closures could last as long as several hours, but said she couldn't give a more specific estimate.
