Indie electro-rock band Passion Pit will headline this year’s Supercrawl.

Organizers of James Street North's annual music and arts festival confirmed that the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based quintet takes the main stage on Saturday, September 14 at 10:30pm.

Passion Pit, best known for the song "Take A Walk" as well as lesser known hits "The Reeling" and "Sleepyhead," sold out New York City’s Madison Square Garden in February 2013, and were the musical guests on NBC’s Saturday Night Live last October.

Since the band formed in 2007 it has released two studio albums, 2009’s Manners and 2012’s Gossamer.  Gossamer reached #4 on the Billboard Top 100 Album chart.

Supercrawl spokesperson Sean Palmerston announced that Hamilton’s Lee Harvey Osmond’s September 14 performance includes guest appearances by Amy Helm (daughter of The Band's Levon Helm), Michael Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies and award-winning Toronto blues singer Paul Reddick. The band performs on Supercrawl's new waterfront stage at Pier 8 (Discovery Centre).

Other musical acts that have been confirmed for this year's festival include Abigail Richardson-Schulte performance, Hamilton alt-country collective Fry Truck, local electronic duo Illitry and from Montreal, francophone rock group Les Trois Accords.

This year’s Supercrawl takes place over two days, Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14, and features shows on four main stages.
