Niagara Falls man tried to steal bike worth more than $10K: police
Police say a Niagara Falls man faces multiple charges for allegedly trying to sell a stolen high-end bicycle that's worth more than 10-thousand dollars.
Investigators say the custom-built, Swiss-made B-M-C Impec bicycle was reported stolen from a tourist's vehicle in July.
Police say they have been investigating a rash of high-end bicycle thefts around the tourist areas of Niagara Falls.
A 27-year-old man faces charges including trafficking in property obtained by crime exceeding five-thousand dollars, driving while under suspension and driving without a valid permit.
He's being held in custody pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
