Woman stabbed on Main West, Hamilton police look for suspect
A 26-year-old Hamilton woman was stabbed outside a variety store Saturday night.
Police said the woman was talking to man outside the store near Main Street West and Whitney Avenue around 9:45 p.m.
The two walked to the back of the store, police said in a release. Shortly afterwards, walked back to the front of the store bleeding and asked the clerk to call 9-1-1. She was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds. Her injuries are non-life threatening.
Witnesses said the man was seen walking east along Whitney Avenue.
Police are considering that man a person of interest in the case. He is described as white, in his late 20s, about 5'10 and 170 lbs. He was wearing a dark coat.
