The woman behind an April Fool’s 9-1-1 call is now facing a public mischief charge.
Police answered a call from a Hamilton resident around 9:30 a.m. on April 1. The resident reported a street brawl involving seven or eight people on Ferrie Street.
But when police arrived, the woman told them it was an April Fool's joke. There was no fight.
Police have charged the 37-year-old prankster with public mischief.
