Two men, teenage girl arrested after assault on Hamilton taxi driver

The cabbie was physically assaulted and was later treated in hospital for several fractures to his face and arm.

Two men and a teenage girl have been arrested in connection with the Saturday afternoon assault on a Hamilton taxi driver at a Burlington housing complex.

Halton police arrested a Hagersville man, a Burlington man and a teenage girl from Burlington. All three face charges of aggravated assault and fraudulently obtaining transportation.

The cabbie drove the three suspects to a housing complex at 455 Woodview Avenue in Burlington at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

After a dispute, the driver was physically assaulted and knocked to the ground by the suspects. He was taken to hospital and treated for several fractures to his face and arm.

Halton police are still looking for witnesses, specifically someone who stopped to help the victim and called 911.
