Hamilton police are investigating an assault and robbery of two Hamilton men early Sunday morning. Around 3:00 a.m., four men were walking around the area of James St. at King St. in Hamilton when a cab drove by.

Two of the pedestrians shouted at the cab and, when the cab stopped, ran away. The two remaining men, 20 and 21 years old, were assaulted and one had his phone stolen and one had to receive hospital treatment for his facial injuries.

Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings said police are looking for four suspects, all male in their 20s, 6' tall and approximately 200 lbs. She said the victims did not seem to know their attackers, but it's not yet clear whether the other two men who fled the scene knew the suspects or why they were yelling at the cab. The investigation is ongoing.
