Truck driver arrested for impaired driving
The driver of a U-Haul-sized semi truck was arrested for impaired driving over the weekend, police say.
It happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday, when police were called about a suspected impaired driver who had just left a bar around MacNab Street North and Vine Street.
Police say the man left the bar and “created a minor disturbance” in the parking lot and became confrontational with the staff. Police were called before he could drive away, and the man was found in the cab of his truck with the keys in the ignition.
He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he blew two times over the limit, police say.
A 54-year-old Windsor man was charged with impaired driving and over 80 and released on a promise to appear.
