Toronto police join search for missing Hamilton teen Tatyana Young
Authorities still concerned for well-being of missing 17-year-old who needs daily medication
Toronto Police Service is helping Hamilton authorities in the search for a missing Hamilton teenager they believe may be in Toronto, and are urging the public to contact them with any news of her whereabouts.
Tatyana Young, 17, has been missing since Monday evening when she was last seen at her home in central Hamilton. Her family reported her missing.
“We have yet to locate her and continue to be concerned about her well-being,” Hamilton Police Service spokesperson Catherine Martin said Friday morning.
“Toronto Police Service is providing excellent assistance and the search continues in both Hamilton and Toronto. If anyone has seen her we ask them to please contact the police."
Young has a medical condition that requires life-sustaining medication multiple times a day. It's not known if she has enough of a supply of the medicine with her.
Police have not commented further on what Young's medical condition is or what medication she takes.
She's described as white, about five feet, five inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. Young has freckles on her face and arms, strawberry blonde hair below her shoulders and grey-blue eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a bright pink T-shirt with a colourful design on the front and light grey Nike high top shoes.
