The Coldest Night of the Year Walk
Hamilton will be one of the 65 cities from coast to coast taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year walk on Saturday, a fundraiser for the city's most vulnerable people.
This family-friendly event allows participants to understand what it's like to survive on the streets during a cold Canadian winter, while raising funds to help the effort.
The walk begins and ends at Christ Church Cathedral. Registration for the walk starts at 4 p.m., with the opening ceremonies starting at 5 p.m. The walk is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
Participants can choose to walk a 2km, 5km or 10 km route. There will be rest stops along the route with warm beverages.

National Cupcake Day (for you and your pets)
Join the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA on Saturday to raise awareness for animal welfare one cupcake at a time.
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA is holding an open house on Feb. 22 to celebrate National Cupcake Day, with delicious treats for both people and animals.
The second annual event encourages volunteers and organizations to hold cupcake bake sales to support local animal welfare charities.
Residents can also visit the shelter between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m for tours of the companion animal hospital (space limited). Children can also take part in activities like face painting and cupcake decorating.

The Miawvellous Tale of Puss in Boots
This is the last weekend for the family-friendly musical at Binbrook Little Theatre, where the legendary feline vigilante will have a show down with evil henchman L'Escargot and help his master rescue his true love.
The show runs on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Winter Jazz Series
Jazz up your Saturday with the winter jazz series at Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum, presented by Music at Fieldcote and featuring the Hamilton All Star Jazz Band.
The one-night-only event takes place at the Old Firehall Arts Centre located at 334 Wilson St. E. in Ancaster. It is sold out.
