The Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Hamilton will be one of the 65 cities from coast to coast taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year walk on Saturday, a fundraiser for the city's most vulnerable people.

This family-friendly event allows participants to understand what it's like to survive on the streets during a cold Canadian winter, while raising funds to help the effort.

The walk begins and ends at Christ Church Cathedral. Registration for the walk starts at 4 p.m., with the opening ceremonies starting at 5 p.m. The walk is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

Participants can choose to walk a 2km, 5km or 10 km route. There will be rest stops along the route with warm beverages.
