Thousands flocked downtown to James Street North Friday for the July version of Art Crawl.

From the rooftop music at James and Wilson to the pink RV at James and Cannon to the newest kid on the block, Green Smoothie Bar north of Robert, there was lots to do and see.

The other new kid on the street, the Art Gallery of Hamilton's design annex, hosted a sea of people from 7 p.m. until they finally locked the doors well after 11.

Next door at CBC Hamilton, there was a speaker's corner and a photo booth. The photo booth attracted the likes of MPP Andrea Horwath, I Heart Hamilton's Kristin Archer and Avishka Juta and CBC's own writer in residence Paul Wilson and Marnie Wilson.

The pictures for the photo booth can be seen in a gallery on the CBC Hamilton Facebook page.

The speaker's corner will be posted on Monday.
