Rainfall warning in effect for Hamilton
Rain has arrived in Southern Ontario and will continue eastward, says Environment Canada
There is a special weather statement in effect for the City of Hamilton today, as heavy rainfall passes through the region.
About 15 to 20 millimetres of rain is forecast, although some areas may receive 20 to 25 millimetres. Fog patches are also developing and in some areas visibility may be reduced to less than 500 metres.
The rainfall has already arrived in Southern Ontario, and will continue on through the GTHA into Eastern Ontario. Strong southwesterly winds gusting at 70 or 80 km/hr will move into Southern Ontario later this afternoon and into tonight.
