Purse-snatching suspect took pencils from senior, missed wallet
Suspects stole from senior using a walker
A robbery suspect who snatched a purse from a senior made away with pencils, a comb, a bus pass and over-the-counter Tylenol but missed her wallet.
The woman was walking on King Street East near Wellington Street shortly before 11 p.m. on April 18 when a young male confronted her, according to the police. The suspect asked her to hand over her purse and threatened to kill her if she didn't.
The suspect then grabbed the purse hanging from her walker and rummaged through it, police said. He took out some items before throwing it to the ground and running away.
It was later found that the suspect didn't take the wallet, but made away with some pencils, a hair comb, a bus pass and over-the-counter Tylenol.
The woman was shaken but not injured, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s. He is between five feet and nine inches and five feet and 11 inches tall. He was wearing a beige jacket and khaki pants at the time.
