Power has been restored to thousands of West Mountain residents who lost electricity during a Sunday outage.

Around 2:30 p.m., nearly 2,600 customers lost power in an area bounded by the escarpment to the north, Upper Paradise to the east, the Lincoln Alexander Parkway to the south and Upper Horning to the west.

Horizon Utilities said regular service had resumed by 3:52 p.m.

The company said it's still investigating the cause of the outage.
