- Timothy Cote has been found "safe and sound," Hamilton police acting Staff Sgt. Robin Abbott says
Hamilton police are searching for a man whose girlfriend reported him missing Friday.
Timothy Albert Cote was last seen on Friday April 25 at his home in the city’s east end. Within hours, police put out a notice, asking the public for help to track him down and say they are concerned for his well-being. Police say they acted quickly in this case because of circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Around 10 a.m., three statuses were posted to Cote’s Facebook account that alluded to some personal and family problems. One of those statuses was removed just before 3 p.m.
“Police are urging the public to call police immediately if Cote is seen so that we may ensure that he is safe,” a police news release reads. Officers believe he may be in the downtown core and uses the library.
Cote is described as white, 20-years-old, 6 feet tall and 120 pounds, with a shaved head and sideburns. He was last seen wearing an orange sweatshirt, grey pants and red and black Air Jordan sneakers.
Anyone with information on Cote’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 905-546-2963.
