Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery.

On Sunday at 6:10 p.m., police say, a man entered a convenience store, brought out a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.

The clerk triggered an alarm that spurred the suspect to run out of the store, said police spokesperson Debbie McGreal-Dinning.

The suspect is described as male, approximately five foot ten inches with a medium build, a shaved head and dark facial hair. During the incident, he was wearing a light blue hooded zip-up jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information about this robbery or the suspect is asked to contact Sgt. Emidio Evangelista, of the Hamilton police’s Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery at 905-546-2991.
